SHIREEN TANGO
Research Technician
Shireen joined the Fermentation Science team in August 2020. Her passions reside in developing innovative solutions towards an environmentally sustainable future of the world. Shireen is intrigued by the study of microorganisms due to the complexity and power these creatures hold for the present and future. Shireen is excited to begin her career in pursuing the study of algae for the use of sustainable health and nutrition.
Shireen recently graduated from California State University San Marcos, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, along with a Minor in Music.
“I am motivated by the fact that everyday is an opportunity to be the change I wish to see in the world. Working at Triton gives me the ability to continue pursuing that goal. From invertebrates, to vertebrates, to humans, we all serve vital functions in this world, and I’m glad to work with a team that pursues environmental sustainability. I believe small actions of change ultimately lead to bigger results. Sustainability allows us to give relief to our ever loving earth that provides much sustenance.”
