Triton has unlocked the secrets to producing these compounds in algae at higher levels, using non-GMO processes. When used as an ingredient in alternative or plant-based meat analogs, the result is a product that cooks, smells, and tastes like animal meat.


Triton’s green algae is an excellent source of protein, and also provides a complete amino acid profile. Triton has developed strains of its algae that are rich in beta-carotene (yellow in color) and others that are rich in heme (red in color), using non-GMO processes for both.
